Software Developer: Robotics & Computer Vision
Studied Mechatronics Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Tirana
Had to stop my studies for a while when I moved to Italy, but then regained and finished my degree. My interests lie on Robotics and Computer Vision and Computer Engineering even though I've studied Mechatronics. I enjoy writing code and solving problems and have become decent in solving simple problems with robots and cameras. Now I'd like to step up and learn more about complex systems, Robotics & CV theory.
Current job: Robotics Software Developer
Employed at Automationware srl, working on developing cobots, mobile robots and combinations of both. Tech stack based on ROS/ROS 2, Ethercat. So far the experience has been great, I have had the chance to see and contribute in the building of real robots and projects with some of the biggest robot vendors and robotic solution integrators in Italy. The R&D department at AW is to an extent similar to a small startup inside the organisation and that has allowed me to work on all parts of the robot, which I believe has developed my abilities to understand the all parts of the system.
Last jobs: Freelance Software Developer
Completed different small projects mainly in computer vision on upwork with people from all around the world. It was a valuable experience in understanding markets and gained some experience in sales. The focus was always to learn new stuff and not to maximize what I could charge.
